I have had numerous requests lately at to where people can find photos of all of the old batches of Shoyoroll gis.
With that in mind, I’ve done my best to compile images of every Shoyoroll gi made.
I am sure that I am missing a few so if you see some missing, or mislabeled, please leave me a comment!

The Albino & Preto brand is currently being headed up by Bear from Shoyoroll. Their first gi, given the picture below, appears to be a white gi (they’ve also added a black gi) with a green contrast similar to the original Lucky gis and the Subculture Wasabi.
Many have speculated that Albino & Preto will be producing gis in a similar method to SYR, but nothing has been confirmed. As more information comes out, this page will be updated!Click here to compare prices on BJJ gis available at MMA Warehouse
Shoyoroll isn’t as new of a brand as people think. It was started in 1999 by a bunch of guys in Los Angeles, who were from Guam. They were inspired by the term, “Show Your Roll,” and while they started out with just t-shirts and stickers, they are now one of the most sought after gis on the market.
I was all set to order my Scramble 1chiban. I had hyped it up for a month here on the site and I was so excited to get one.
I logged onto Budovideos at the appointed release time, put an A3 in my cart, started filling in all of my important details: address, credit card info, etc.
The whole process took maybe 3 minutes.
Which was about a minute too late.
2 minutes. It took 2 minutes for them to sell out!Get the Best Deals on BJJ Gis Today at MMA Warehouse

Every day people are posting their height and weight into internet forums and asking what type of gi will fit them the best. Lots of people answer but there’s never been one article that puts all of the answers together. Until now.

The Shoyoroll Fifty/50 RS Special Edition gi is like suit of heavy armor, and a very good-looking one at that. Its killer performance feature is a huge, foamy collar that is wider and thicker than those on other gis from the same brand. It has a very clean and nice look, which is supported by the unique-to-brand grayscale color scheme, and it contains some of the standard Shoyoroll embroidery and patches along with several custom aesthetic features designed specifically for this gi. Although there are some things about it that I would change, I definitely won’t be getting rid of this ultra-rare gi anytime soon.
[I love the GiReviews community and am truly thankful to feature guest reviews on the site but I have never had anybody send me a review quite like this (just wait, you’ll see). The following gi review is an exceptional piece of hard work by Rich. I am honored to feature it on the site and I am truly blown away by what he’s done here. ~ Brendan ]
The pictures at the bottom of this post are of the white version of the gi whereas the general release gi will be NAVY (seen above and immediately below; photo courtesy of organizedhoarding).Visit MMA Warehouse and check out the latest gis to hit the marketplace!
Shoyoroll’s newest Training gi, the DLUX, goes on sale soon.
Mark your calendars.
After many requests, Shoyoroll is producing a heavy duty gi that can withstand more beating during training. The DLUX is a version of the standard pearl weave jacket, but with a super soft interior cotton finish. This has never been done before with any past releases. The pants are also made more durable with a heavier gauge of cotton for a longer life in daily training.Click here to purchase the latest gis from Scramble, Adidas, Tatami, and more!Continue reading
The color combination and top of the Shoyoroll Charles Lew jacket are probably my favorite combo of all time. The Tiffany’s turquoise/blue (whatever) really pops on the black. The Gi is accented with diamond logo hits on the pants and jacket for a very clean and unique look. I severely dislike ripstop pants, but as far as these ones go, they aren’t too bad. I should have jumped on the cotton pants option and have been kicking myself ever since. No durability issues to be had, but I personally feel like ripstop doesn’t breath well, turns into cardboard when wet and doesn’t allow for as greater of leg maneuverability.Compare prices on your favorite BJJ gis at MMA Warehouse
