The Manto single weave is a pretty basic gi overall. The patches are big and bold, but not too flashy. Definitely a nice alternative for those that dislike the flashiest gis, but also don’t want a super plain gi. The Manto single weave is a slimmer cut built for competition. The cut is slimmer ala a Kikskin an d the collar is very thin. It’s a very light gi, the strength of the weave makes it appear very durable, and the stitching is really nice.Click here to purchase BJJ kimonos by Manto at Amazon
These gis are fairly light (but not as light weight as a pearl weave or ultra light gi) gi from European-based Manto.
Some people have reported that the tops are really big and won’t shrink at all. Others report that the gi may not even be pre-shrunk so it shows some inconsistency in the batching of the Manto single weave. Since they came out in August of 2009, they may be a bit dated consider all of the gis that have come out lately.
