Bull Terrier is a Japanese company that has sponsored a who’s who of BJJ players including: Rodolfo Vieira, Claudio Calasans, Rafael Mendes, Guilherme Mendes, Rubens Cobrinha Charles, Roberto Satoshi Souza, and Bruno Frazatto.
Bull Terrier are known for having a TON of different styles of gis and also for being one of the flashiest gi brands on the market (which suits me just FINE!!!). A Bull Terrier gi can easily be identified by its incredibly flashy patches, but others are very very simple in design and content.
A Bull Terrier Gi isn’t cheap, but is generally regarded as being worth the price. Bull Terrier was one of the first companies to use contrast stitching, large patches, interior gi lining, limited editions, etc. ALL ON THE SAME GI!Purchase your very own Bull Terrier Ultimate Light Gi at AmazonContinue reading

I purchased an Atama Leticia Ribeiro Edition gi toward the middle of December after realizing that, without my own washing machine, if I’d be training 3-4 times a week, I’d need more than one gi. My first gi is a Fenom and while I love it, I wanted to see what else might be out there and this one caught my eye.Purchase Atama Leticia Ribeiro 2.0 Gi at Amazon

I’m pretty happy with the overall quality of this Fuji gi. The size I received is a W1. It’s not only cost-effective but also durable and well made.
However, I do feel that it could be further adjusted to fit petite women better. I don’t see there being any issues with this gi if you are 5’3” and above, but because I am just under 5’2” it did need some shrinking to fit well.Get the Fuji All Around Ronda Rousey Inspired Women’s Gi at MMA Warehouse!
The jiu jitsu gear market is full of companies that produce gear themed after pop culture icons, but very few of those companies ever produce officially licensed gear with the logos and characters that they portray. Fusion Fight Gear has burst onto the scene, offering officially licensed jiu jitsu gear bearing the logos, and iconic characters of some of the more famous franchises including Star Trek, Street Fighter and The Terminator (amongst others).Purchase Fusion Fight Gear’s Mr. Spock BJJ Gi from AmazonContinue reading
The Flow Kimonos Classic Series Kimono is a beautiful product. The gi is comfortable, functional and is a great entry to the ever growing Jiu Jitsu gi market.Purchase BJJ gis by Flow Kimonos at Amazon
One of the more unique Gi offerings I’ve come across in my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey is the Dokebi Bro’s Balance Gi. Unique in the sense that it is the only Gi that I’ve personally come across that is made in South Korea.
It’s a strong gi, it reminds me of a cross between a Judo Gi and a BJJ Gi. It’s a got a very durable 450gsm Single Weave, but it’s also quite soft. They’ve gone for a traditionalist and old school take on the BJJ kimono, I’d say they’ve definitely succeeded in that regard.Get your very own BJJ gi from Dokebi at Amazon
For those who don’t know, HCK doesn’t just make Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kimonos.
They make armor.
Armor intent on protecting you while pissing off your opponent. The Competition Single Weave we were provided for review is no exception.Click here to see the latest gis at MMA Warehouse
Wow. Just F*cking Wow…
That’s how I felt when I first saw this gi, and even moreso when I received it in the mail directly from Muae.
Muaewear really came storming out of the gates, but unlike Kingz Kimonos, who stormed out with 3 very solid basic gis (420 Light, Comp 550, and Ripstop), Muaewear focused all of their efforts on a single, premium, limited-edition kimono that really caters to the gi collector/addict/aficionado.Shop for the best single weave BJJ gis at MMA Warehouse
The Rook was the third gi made by CTRL Industries. Their first gi really piqued my interest and I definitely wanted to check it out, but I wasn’t so sure as a new gi company was popping up every day.
Let me say this.
Based on The Rook, not only is CTRL Industries here to stay and become a major player in the BJJ scene, but I’m super upset that I never got that first Carioca gi.
