Subculture was created in 2007 and creates gis, kimonos, fight shorts, and other gear for competition and training (whether it’s on the mat or in the cage). The guys at Subculture are extremely passionate about what they do. They are truly dedicated to supporting the mma and grappling community. They are a Chicago, Illinois based company and support a ridiculous number of athletes in the area that compete both locally, nationally, and globally.
You’ve probably seen Subculture worn by athletes in the IBJJF Pan-Ams and Mundial Championships, but they are still a growing brand. At GiReviews.net, we’re really excited to see Subculture grow in the next few years as they’ve put out a lot of very high-qualtiy gis lately. I’ve not known any of the mid-level fight companies to work as hard as they do to support the sport and provide gear that rivals top names like Koral and Atama.
