Theme

Since the inception of the brand, we have been heavily influenced by reggae music. We have been building this project for at least the last three years and we dedicate Batch #30 to one of the best reggae dudes on the planet, also know as, the King. One of the driving forces behind this project is to give back to a musical school that has helped the youth in Kingston for years, just like they did with the King. A portion of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to the Alpha Boys School in Kingston, Jamaica.

6’2″ and 195. A3 or A3s? Given the shrinkage of gold weave I’m thinking A2s with this one. a3 SYR fits me well in pearl weave

yeah, go with the a3S and shrink it down. The pants may still be a tad long on you since they’re longer than the a3. BUT, since it’s black it won’t shrink a ton.

Hey, I am a bigger guy and interested in picking up one of the shoyoroll batch 30 but not sure about sizing. I am 6’2 and weigh 300lbs. I only own a Keiko guy at the moment, the top and bottom are both A4. what size should I be getting for this?

For your weight, I’d get an a4 and let it shrink down a bit and then hem the sleeves and pants because they’re going to be VERY long 🙂 If you do decide to pick it up, don’t forget to use the links and discount code on this page!

Ok. I am 6ft, and weigh 155lbs. Should I go with a A1l?

A1L is going to be super short on you in the skirt. I’m the same height as you and here’s me in an A2: http://gireviews.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/shoyoroll-cement-front1.jpg Since the A1L is shorter than the A2, you’re in a tough spot. Your best bet is to find a brand that sells A2T or A2L gis and shrink one of those. BUT, if you love the design on the batch 30, then go for the A1L juts know it’ll be short on you. I hope that helps 🙂

Since you’re right at the top of the A1L, I’d say go for an A2 and shrink it down and you’ll love it. that way you don’t end up with uber short sleeves and pants.

I’m 5’10 195. What would you recommend? I already have a batch #17 A2 and it fits perfectly.

YUP! I was going to recommend and A2 as well!

Does gold weave shrink more or less than pearl weaves?

Reply
    Brendan says February 17, 2014

As its a looser weave, it will shrink more than a pearl weave, but black will shrink less than a white gi.

I’m 5″9 175lb. What is a good size for me?

    Brendan says February 17, 2014

I have a good buddy that was your weight, but a bit heavier and he would go with an A2 and then let it shrink down naturally and it’d be an awesome fit for him.

5’9″ 235 wide back and shoulders.

Probably best to try to snag an A2H or go with an A3 and shrink it down 🙂
