  1. And again !!! the size dilemma !
6,2 / 187… A3 – Pants fits perfect but the jacket is too roomy.
A3S – Ahem… Such a ball sucker ! Feels like playin’ in an 80’s rock band in it !
    Should I go A2 ??

Gi reveiws says the jacket is Light Tech Weave fabric in one area and a few lines down it says “Lightweight Pearl Weave”???

  3. Wow, I’m going to buy one just to resell it on eBay! Most of the gis sell for almost twice (if not more) as the original price.

What does GiReviews think: is it smart to profit OR shady for profiting?

    Thanks,
    – JT

    • Just depends. People that put them on there for buy it now prices for lik2 $280 never sale them. They just keep re-listing them to screw people over. People that sell them by using bids and start the bidding at the retail price usually make a decent profit. I’ve paid over $400 for one, but it started at zero and I wasn’t going to be denied. But I’d never have paid $400 with the buy it now option.

    • I have sold a bunch of SYR gis in the past. As a Guma member, I feel like I paid for the right to buy it (which I covered a lot in posts earlier this year). Especially if it’s a guma-only version. Then I’m not taking away from anybody else. But, when you have people mass buying limited-release gis just to ebay, I think that’s wrong.

For example, I’m selling my Ring right now but it’s because its an A3 and I found out I wear an A2 in SYR.

      • That’s my whole dilemma, because I’d only be buying it to profit on it… I think I’m going to try it out and see what happens…

        Thanks for the reply, Brendan!

  4. I juat received my A1L yesterday. I’m at the top on the height and weight bracket. 511 162 pounds. The jacket fit tailored except the sleeves were a little long. Felt slightly longer than my Brasileiro. And the pants dont fit as well as the tips atop Brasileiro pants did. I’m thin…the Goldstar cotton twill seemed kinda fat or bulky compared to my Brasileiro rip stops…which is weird because the black should be more slimming looking. But im sure shrink to fit will fix that.

  5. I have the opportunity to trade for a goldstar. How does everyone like theirs now that they have had time to train in it for a while? Is the stretching on the light weave bad?
