Prana Kimonos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gis

prana kimonos

Prana Kimonos really reflects a simple, urban design.  Their designs are very clean and powerful.

Prana, which means “breath” in Hindi, references the universal life source that flows through every human being.  Prana Kimonos believes that one’s BJJ is a reflection of their ‘Prana.’  They see BJJ as an extension of the soul, vitality, and energy that flows through you.

They also offer some really cool, clean designed shirts with bold lettering and slick logos.  They’re recently put up extra pants from their OG model Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi that are definitely worth checking out.  We expect future offerings from Prana to be of the same high quality as their first run.

They emphasize technique over strength, and simplicity in everything. Prana Kimonos! Protect Ya Neck!

Shady business practices, guerilla disrespectful social media practices, and complete knock off. If you want a Shoyoroll and don’t want to wait, buy an AnP.

What has happened regarding the shady business practices? i’ve never heard anything regarding that.

to me prana is the opposite of syr. i like what prana is about so i purchase from them. both are nice gis.

I dont understand why people get all pissy about different companies designing gi’s. who cares that its looks similar. Im not going to stop buying a samsung galaxy s 2 because it looks similar to an iphone. If you do some research you’ll find that the same people do a bunch of companies the difference is colors and options you ask the guy to sew.

Really the difference is the cut and what material people choose to use. Most top level gis are made in the same few places. But each brand has a unique cut to it.

I own a Prana and it is actually very nice. I own the OG model. The weight of the jacket is a bit heavier than I’m used to, but the materials and quality are very good.

The only negative I would say about the gi is that the rope they use for the pants is too thick and doesn’t stay tied very long.

I purchased the DRUID & absolutely love it!!! The top fits great & the pants are durable. It doesn’t rub to hard on your skin when rolling & is very comfortable. The only down fall might be the bottom of the pants seem to taper in a bit. Other than that it’s a great Gi & I like Pranas look at modern Jiu Jitsu!!

I have the Druid white GI. I got it for $125 during their
Black Friday sale this year. The jacket has a similar cut and size to the SYR Alpha Davis which I got and the Prana jacket is much softer and appears a bit heavier. The pants are rip stop and the only two complaints are the the rise is a bit on the long side and the leg trouser is cut oddly to be tapered. From the side you can see it tapers down to the ankle which looks weird because from the front it looks untampered with a somewhat slim cut like SYR.

I own the Prana Gold Weave

Prolly one of the best Gi’s I own.

The pants were a bit too long but great gi overall.
