My girlfriend is giving me grief over buying another Shoyoroll (The Ring) , a black and red gi now….how will she take this one
I’m a fan of the Lew over the Gold Star to be honest =o)
But you know how SYR is, the actual gi will blow the mockup out of the water!
blue superlite batch 5 is sexy. But i think the americana is a close 2nd. . .
yikes! i never liked the Americana. The blue superlite is one of my favorite SYRs of all time!
You forgot about the white + red Superlight RS that came out alongside the Blackstar
The Charles Lew looks awesome. (From what I can gather from the witness protection program style photos
). I like how you found a loop hole to show them. I might have to break my own weird rule save $$$, and get a black Gi before I am blue belt. Are you allowed to give a rough ETA on it? Thanks for all you do man, with helping people navigate the confusing land of Gi buying.

The batch two. I have it, it looks like the batch one but the emblem is gold and black, plus it’s super heavyweight jacket and pants. The pants still look new I just have to replace the drawstring. The jacket unfortunetly shrank about three sizes.

Okay, I just went cruising to budovideos, and they already had The Ring listed for pre order. Of course all sizes were listed as sold out. Did I really just miss the chance to get the gi? Someone please tell me this is not what’s really going on. I have to admit I’m pretty upset if this has really happened!

I think your missing the Shoyoroll Comp Standard 450 Kimono that came out in June 2010.
BTW the Koi looks sick, clean and traditional! a nice mix after all the solid color releases.

That’s another 450… I have the newer 450 that came out in 2010, and it looks nothing like the one you have posted.

you guys are missing the comp 450
just got the uniblue and the 1751. Those gi’s are the best I’ve ever seen. Our town and school colors are navy, white and gray and the 1751 is perfect. Plus not having to worry about seeing everyone that competes in a tournament wearing either makes me love them that much more. Please let us know of any more guma only releases so I can track one down.

I was lucky enough to get a second rio koi A2 when budo sold them after the Brasilio sold. I got it just to trade it with someone for a 7th son, golden state, mamba or yank A2 if anybody is interested. Doesn’t have to be new as long as it’s not torn to hell, not dried, and not super patched up. If anyone is interested just reply to this and shoot me a picture of it and we can exchange info. Possibly a Ring as well because I want some purple when I get my purple belt in the future
I just bought a shoyoroll patch for my gold star, the huge patch. On the shoyoroll website it says that it has a heat back transfer. Can somebody help me or tell me how to put it on my gi?
You definitely need to sew that bad boy on. That thing is huge and embroidered and if you try to iron it on, it’ll be a mess.
