Break Point Lightweight Deluxe Gi Reviews
Break Point Lightweight Deluxe
Note: Full Review coming soon!
The new Break Point Lightweight Deluxe gis are really something to behold. They’ve always held the title of being one of the most bling gis out there, but they really take the cake with the new colorways. My personal favorite is the blue with gold.
Some people have noted that the material is pretty stiff on these models, at first. After rolling in them and washing them a few times (you are washing your gi EVERY time you roll, right? RIGHT?), they soften up a bit, but not too much.
As always, the break point lightweight deluxe gi comes with two types of pants: one for competition, and one for training. The training pants are obviously much heavier and more durable than the lightweight pants. The heavier training pants are made of the same material as the gi top. I’ve never seen any company do that before, so it’s definitely a new experience if you don’t own another Break Point gi.
Typically, the pants on a gi are the first to go and most of my training partners who have the old Break Point gis have ripped their original competition pants, but the pants made out of the gi material are still holding strong. Definitely a great perk to get two pairs of pants for the price of one.
The color holds well in repeated washing, but as always, we advocate that you follow the washing guidelines provided with the gi and soak them in vinegar prior to the first wash. You wouldn’t want to wash out all the bling (yeah right, like you could ever do that to a Break Point).
